IFE was subcontracted by Peak Engineers, Inc. to provide project management assistance and process and utilities design for the expansion of a churro processing plant in California.
The process design included integration of new mixers, depositor, fryer with support systems, cutter, spiral freezers, and product and system conveyance. Utility design provided by IFE included , compressed air, cold and hot water, sanitation systems, process exhausts, natural gas, and plumbing.
IFE assisted the engineering team with project management services including project schedule development, coordination of design team roles and responsibilities, design management meetings with action item tracking, and design criteria development. Engineering and drafting services were provided to develop a full set of project drawings for permit submission and as issued-for-construction in order for the owner to get competitive bids for a general contractor to take over the project for the execution phase.
This project is still underway and is scheduled to be completed by Q1/2024.
